Objective:
To promote a culture of research excellence among faculty members and enhance the academic reputation of Queen’s Medical College by ensuring regular contributions to national and international journals.
Scope:
This policy applies to all faculty members of Queen’s Medical College, categorized into Senior Faculty and Junior Faculty.
Guidelines for Research Publications
1. Senior Faculty
For international Publications:
At least one research paper forwarded for publication in a PMDC and HEC recognized journal at least once in 2 years preferably in W category.
2. Junior Faculty
Minimum Requirement:
At least one research paper forwarded for publication annually in a local PMDC and HEC-recognized journal preferably in W and Y category ( as CO-Principal Investigator with senior Principal Investigator faculty)
Mentorship:
Junior faculty are encouraged to collaborate with senior faculty for guidance in research methodology and publication processes.
General Guidelines
1. Ethical Standards:
All research must comply with the ethical standards of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and adhere to international bioethics guidelines. (HIPPA Guidelines)
2. Authorship:
Faculty members must ensure proper authorship attribution based on significant contributions to the research.
3. Plagiarism Policy:
All manuscripts must be free of plagiarism and follow the guidelines of the target journal.
4. Institutional Affiliation:
Faculty must clearly mention their affiliation with Queen’s Medical College in all publications.
5. Support for Research:
The college will provide administrative and technical support to facilitate high-quality research and publications.
6. Monitoring and Reporting:
Annual research output will be reviewed by the Research Committee to ensure compliance with this policy.
